Senior Network Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to oversee and optimize advanced network systems. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient network infrastructures while mentoring team members and collaborating across departments.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and develop strategies to enhance network technologies and capabilities.
• Provide expert guidance on budget considerations for networking initiatives.
• Lead efforts to quickly resolve escalated network issues and identify root causes.
• Develop and implement proactive maintenance plans for network systems.
• Monitor, identify, and mitigate potential security risks to maintain robust infrastructure protection.
• Offer mentorship to team members on network installations, upgrades, and system best practices.
• Draft and enforce policies related to network security, standards, and operational procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other networking equipment.
• Plan and recommend improvements to network design, configuration, and hardware or software requirements.
• Ensure network configurations align with regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Evaluate network performance and make improvements to meet organizational objectives.
• Act as a point of escalation and liaison between users and third-party vendors for technical resolutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for network assets and configurations.
• Stay updated on emerging network technologies, industry standards, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in network engineering, including hands-on experience with network design and implementation.
• Proven ability to manage projects from initiation to completion, coordinating across multiple teams.
• Advanced knowledge of core networking protocols and concepts, including TCP/UDP, VLANs, DHCP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and VPN.
• Proficiency with network security protocols, such as SSL, IPsec, and firewall configurations.
• Experience with WAN technologies, MPLS, SD-WAN, and optimizing wide-area networks.
• Familiarity with enterprise wireless solutions and IP telephony systems.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP or equivalent) are strongly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to document technical requirements effectively.
